Being a 12 handicap, max score I can take on a hole is 7. When entering a score in oob do I enter the max I can take or the actual score? Does the calculator adjust the total score if you enter a score over your max?

If you have Oob calculating a handicap, then it should automatically apply the appropriate ESC based on your course handicap.

bkuehn1952 is correct. Enter your aggregate score, and the ESC will apply after. On scorecards where ESC needs to be applied (i.e. you shoot an 8 or 9 on a hole), you'll notice a line is added under your score called ESC. If you don't shoot worse than a 7 on a hole, then you won't see an ESC line on that scorecard.
