Now THAT is funny.

Famous quote from my father:

"What's this test messaging stuff all about anyway?"

Um, yeah. Dad. TeXt messagins was invented so that you don't have to call me 14 times when I'm on the golf course to tell me that I need to see the new episode of Poker after Dark.

Now you don't even have to type to send a text message, just speak into the box and it's converted to a text message. Sometimes the transcript isn't exactly what you said, and can be pretty funny.

Voice to text is pretty awesome. Interestingly, though, I've been using it for years. It's kind of awkward when you're around people, but I can use it while driving without being distracted any more than I would be if I was talking on the phone. I also have a voice reader app and a voice command app. It was very bulky to learn to use, but it's quite handy. Though if someone was to put a tape recorder in my car, it might be funny sounding. It's completely hands-free, though, which is why I think that the texting while driving laws are bogus unless they are going to include cell phone usage period.

And the cool part about it is that the Android program updates to my voice, so those interesting texts that are mistranscribed are a thing of the past. I can't get it to understand, though that LOL does not mean "ell oh ell".
