So i hit the Rocketballz and the New R11s. Unimpressed with the drivers. The Rocketballz fairway woods, however were incredible. Those things really are long. I was behind a guy who was hitting his normal 3 wood and the rocketballz 5 wood and he was hitting the 5w about 8 yards farther than his normal 3. I decided to hit a 3w (didn't have my club to test it against) and was hitting that RBZ 3w 270 in the air. Not bad. I'm going to put it against my own clubs when i head back up that way (the nearest Golf Galaxy is by my parent's house in Bethlehem. I figure -- if they are indeed that hot, what i can do is take my 3w out and replace it with a 5w. Right now i have a little too much gap between my 3W and next club which is my 3Hy. That yardage doesn't come up much but it comes up enough -- plus a 5 would be easier to hit than the 3... in theory.

THIS IS A REPOST FROM ANOTHER THREAD, BUT UEFUL HERE I THINK.

I got to crack open the plastic on my new R11 9 degree X-stiff today at the range Smile

It was a blast, because

1 - the ropes were back on the range.
2 - no one was there, only a few people
3 - wind at my back
4 - I was aiming for the maintenance shed

I started with my normal Driver Superfast 1.0 9.5 degree stiff.
Hit a few nice shots.

Then I hit the 9 degree R11.
I could already feel the massive change in the shaft, and see the flight improving.

Then I tweaked it down to 8* loft
I went from bouncing off the last flag, to bouncing into the fence, to clearing the maint. barn/shed.

I hit it a couple of times, but in the end, we knew I was clearing it.

The kicker was, great control, awesome flight, hands releasing (homework from my lesson 2 fridays back) and just a awesome feeling.

I can't wait to bust it out for my round(s) this weekend.
I'm pumped.
