How do you guys mark your golf balls? ID marks and on the green?
I'm kinda boring. I don't mark them for ID even though I carry a Sharpie with me. I can usually ID mine because it's the one down the middle and closest to the pin. Kidding.
On the green I just mark it with whatever ball mark is on my divot tool, but I do always replace my ball with the logo facing me but upside down. It's really the only "thing" that I have.
What about y'all?

Those golfdotz are creative, I'd just hate to buy a thing of 12 only to lose half of my marked balls in one round like i did yesterday.
I mark my ball with a red dot on each side of the number and I've got an Ohio State ball marker on my divot tool. But lately thats become rather difficult to find on the green, I need something larger and brighter.

I can see how an Ohio State ball mark isnt getting it done. Maybe you should get an LSU one like I have. I think I have an extra national champion one that you can have.

I mark mine with a large blue B on each side just over the brand marking.
I wish everyone would mark their balls. It is just the right thing to do - then there is never any question as to whether it's your ball or not.

my gf came up with a mark for me. it's a black bear claw. i'd like to get a stamp that does it, because i can't draw it very well.
on the green, i use whatever ball marker i happen to have. usually a brush-t blue one.

I use a blue line through the type of ball (on the side where it says pro-v1 for example)and mark with a magnetic marker from Copper Mill or my LSU marker depending on how I feel that day

I use a green sharpie to draw the straight line over the Pro-V-1 label using the snap on guide so that the line is straight. My ball marker is a Mexican $2 peso coin. Have been using this system for a long time.

That whole "putting alignment tool" thing is a crock. I think it hurts more than helps. If your alignment line is off even by a hair it could be off by over a foot by the time it gets to the hole (if that makes sense). Maybe it's just me.
Merlin- try going a round without using that putting line and see if it makes a difference.

In fishing, there are many types of lures because fishermen will buy them. In golf, if you think it works, it works. Thats why there are several thousand types of putters.

I put two circles around each number and normally use a chec go to find the balance line to line up with the hole on putts and on the tee.

I put a small circle on each side of the ball number and a smile under the number. The smiley face always makes me feel good before I hit. On the green I use a bright orange clear plastic 1/2" disc that I have used for 15 years.

I never have to mark my ball, I've been playing yellow balls for two years now. I love em, they never get picked up by "accident". If you can get past the rookie look of the ball, and the jokes from your buddies,I recommend them to anyone that will listen. Besides, when you win a couple of friendly rounds with the yellow ball, the jokes will stop.
The way I started was I found a yellow noodle on the course and wound up using it. I went from the course to Golfsmith to purchase a box and have been using them ever since.
I like being able to identify my ball from further away than having to walk right up to it. You would be amazed how good it feels.

why not use the pink ones?
I think I could get behind using my own personal color. But right now I am addicted to the the target lines on the Top-Flite D2's for aligning my putts.
