The locals will tell you that playing at sea level makes the ball fly less far. You may want to test that theory on the range to see if you need to club up a bit. Of course, if you are in Houston or Galveston, you should be dialed in already.

I live in the Houston area so I should be good to go there. How is the wind? Is it safe to assume all the greens are at least medium to fast? I play on some slow stuff here.

Whoops -- I forgot about the discount and the deadline. Haven't decided if I'm going this year yet. Having a hard time committing right now.

If I skip this year, which is 50/50%, I definitely will go next year in 2013. But, there will be time to sign up, and who knows maybe another discount opportunity before it is too late.

so how many rounds do you play in the tournament?

At least 4 and if you win your flight, you get to play for the championship on friday!

i'm playing next year for sure as well. unfortunately couldn't make it happen with the wedding this year. Didn't have enough time off.
