I like Ai. For those who don't watch ladies' golf, she won last week's LPGA event. It's her eighth win, and that to me seems quite impressive. I don't keep tabs on this stuff, but name me someone who has won more in the last couple of years. Besides Yani Tseng. I don't think anyone has. Allow me to further 'splain why Ai my favorite golfer of right now.

-She is like five foot nothing and still consistently beats the snot out of much bigger girls. It is impressive how much she gets out of her golf game. Pound for pound she might be the best golfer on the planet.
-Her golf game is cute and fierce at the same time. Love the unbreakable concentration and total conviction.
-Charming personality and very well spoken
-I love Japanese girls
-Amazing golf swing. I would never think to try and swing that slow myself, but from strictly a viewing perspective it is wonderful to watch. Very calming. I could watch her hit balls all day.
-Takes a big divot
-Might be the best putter in the world right now. Seems to always hit it where she intends and always with the right speed. Whenever she does not hit the right speed, seems to always sink the comebacker, dead center, no doubt. Again very calming. If there was a putt to save the world I just might pick Ai to stroke it.

Simply put I have watched a lot of golf but never seen anyone play quite like Ai.

Have to agree Beef...I've been paying attention to Ai since last year when I saw her win a tournament.

Well yesterday while the golf world was focused on Tiger Woods winning again, Ai Miyazato fired a cool 65 to post an early clubhouse lead and win another LPGA tournament. I for one am sorry that I missed it. I caught the highlights and it looked like a typical Ai Miyazato round--knocking down flags, chipping it tight, the smoothest looking putting on the planet, etc.

So Ai now has nine wins. I don't keep tabs on these things but that seems like a lot in a short amount of time. Pretty sure that only Yani Tseng has won more.

You can take your boring lifeless Koreans, your bitchy whiny American women golfers... All of them are crap when compared to Ai Miyazato! Name one player who even comes close in terms of wins, charm, personality, and uniqueness--forget about it, you cannot do it.
