I'm buying new prescription glasses that ill be using while golfing.
I golf quite often at twilight so sometimes at the end of the round light is fading.
A few questions:
1. Should I get polarized lenses? I've heard yes because of glare from water, and no because with it you can't read greens as well.
2. What color lens should I get? I was thinking brown because it tends to lighten things up, so at dusk I may still be able to see well.

What about those transition glasses? Dark outside and lighten as the light fades. I don't wear glasses, so I'm clutching at straws a bit.

Non-polarized really makes a difference on the green, especially when dealing with grain. Also an amber brown works best for helping on the greens, also.

Polarized lenses really helps when shooting over water when the sun is in your face. They probably also help more in the evening and winter when the sun is at a greater angle.

I have prescription lenses as well. I got the brown/amber color, but I kind of wish I would have simply gone with gray. I have a hard time picking up the ball into the sun because even though they really help with the glare, the entire sky is so bright.

That's a tough boat with prescription lenses, as people have said, they're great for glare off water, and some other issues, but they can hurt you a little on the greens. I take my sunglasses off on and around the greens, but with Rx you can' really do that.

I'd probably suggest going without the polarized, all things considered. Putting is very important, I'm sure moreso than a little glare off water here and there.

Nobody asked you whether you did, but I am not surprised you do not: sunglasses are not very useful in a basement, playing on the PS3...

Polarized sunglasses do not work with some of the new electronic instrument displays in aircraft, I thought one of my displays had blacked out, then caught a glimpse of it out of the corner of my eye outside of the glasses and saw that it had not failed.

Try wearing yellow lens. Safety glasses that are big enough to wear over your prescription glasses. They make some nice comfortable ones. Even make prescription safety glass in yellow. It will brighten the color of green greatly.

I went with brown Oakley lenses, non-polarized.
I'll post here in a month or so to report if I find any difference or not as I've been using polarized my whole golfing life till now!

Please, do. I'm probably going to be getting new lenses later this summer. If the polarization is hurting my game, I'd like to know.

I can't see how, though. Five three putts yesterday, and I wasn't even wearing my sunglasses.
