So obviously this is pointed towards the Michiganders here.

My two sisters have decided to finally get in to golf and are forcing their husbands to take them out over the 4th. I can't miss this opportunity to watch them go crazy, so i opted to join. They're looking for a beginner type course to play. The optimal location would somewhere around Farmington (preferably a low cost).

Any suggestions?

The "Strategic Fox" at Fox Hills (Plymouth). It is an 18 hole modern par-3 layout. They have carts and a nice practice area. Holes range from 90 yards to 190 yards and include trees and water in the mix.

You could try Whispering Willows (Livonia) if they want a full size course. It is not too punitive on beginners.
