I've now soured on this guy. Used to like him, used to identify with his grinding, squeeze every ounce outta my game approach. Now whenever he's up I find myself wanting to change channels. Maybe there's some good commercials on somewhere.
Yes he has had a bad year in which he's come up well short in some big moments. That's not really my beef. After all I was rooting for the Euro's in the big "2 Teams, 1 Cup" match. Choke or no choke I just don't care for the way in which he goes about it. Don't care for the interminable pre shot rigamarole; have had it with the joyless undertaker demeanor. Stoicism is one thing, Jim is just a dud I'm afraid. And that swing. While it continues to be an inspiration to weird looking swings everywhere, let's face it, it is nasty to behold. We watch pro golf for entertainment and while technically Jim's very good at it, his particular methodology really sucks....the energy out of a telecast.
If all that's not enough there is the matter of his golf attire. The man will shill for just about anything. He's still got some blank space on his shirts though, he might as well write "YOUR AD HERE" on them.
