How come it's the same dozen or so players in here? Let's hear from more players. I already know the demented thoughts of my friends and compatriots

I don't know if everyone is having this problem, but I have to log in two or three times before a comment will go through. I have some really brilliant things to say, as you know, but I get frustrated and log off if it doesn't go through after a couple of tries.

Up here in the North east most players start to lose interest in golf in the winter - It gets harder and harder to play with the weather, shorter days & daylight savings time ending.

If people aren't getting on to post scores they probably aren't checking the forum posts either

I am surte it will pick up again in the spring

I will support.
I am new here, but for some reason I always check to see if anyone has sent me a pm. To play a round or whatever.

We have year round golf here in SC, so there is no downtime for golf.

This is a great site.

I still check the site addictively 4 or 5 times a day, but I've withdrawn from commenting to avoid me saying anything spiteful about all the golfers enjoying a warm winter.
Just got my new driver in the mail and I'm dying to hit it as the snow falls outside. I don't want to break it in off of rubber tees off the mats, and the grass tees are closed most everywhere.
You probably didn't want to hear from me anyways. I'll shut up and let the new members speak.

I live in Texas, and had never seen a mat with the little rubber tee. Went to Montreal and decided to warm up at their driving range. Snapped the head off my favorite driver. Had it re shafted and it hit like crap. Threw it away.

I've hit at once range that had the rubber tees that you could insert a regular tee into.
This is the closest product I could find to doing that yourself at any range.

Actually this is the one they had.

Interestingly, the only person in 2008 still semi-active is FalconDriver.

I feel old because I remember this thread. Definitely a different group of people here now:)

Back then, there were a fraction of the threads here as there are now. So when we perused the forum for a few quick minutes, we would see threads that were months old.
