Ouch. Looked like a quality golf shot to me, but who hits golf balls at someone not paying attention. Thats harsh

Today, in our monday game, one of our partners hit a line drive that was never more than 5 feet off the ground, directly into the face of another player who was coming toward us on the adjacent fairway. He was less than 70 yards away and had no chance to duck even though all four of us screamed "FORE". After several minutes of applying iced towels, we got the bleeding stopped and everyone continued to play, including the guy with a broken nose. He went to the hospital after the game was over. I'll tell you how he is tomorrow.

Holy crap that brutal. I've been hit twice and it doesn't tickle. Once in the 'fore'head and once in the buttocks.

KUDOS!!!! At least he finished the round before going to the hospital. HE BELONGS WITH OOBGOLF!!! Or maybe with the ALL-MADDEN GOLF TEAM.

Didn't find out what he shot that day, but he was back out two days later. fractured cheekbone, broken nose, two black eyes.

Question regarding hitting that guy in the face. If he wound up being unconscious and the ball was lying on his person, would you get a free drop or would you play it where it lies?

If it was a tight lie, like setting down in an eye socket, I'd try not to take a divot.
