Pickens always sounds good to me. Just let me know what day. I am off Mon and TueS and all next weekend. We need to get the 4 of us together and play as much CC and BB as we can before Santee.

 

I say that you need to start drinking alot more beer. It wll take the edge off, sharpen your swing and dull your memory of the bad holes. Lets try to play Sunday again at Cobbs Glenn.

 

Considering the events yesterday I played another solid round. I'm thinking about getting some lessons to tighten up a few things. What do you guys think about it?

Yea Santee National was in pretty good shape when I played. That and Lake Marion are both pretty good value courses in the area. You also have Santee Cooper Resort but too many dog legs there for me.

 

Yeah Josh we need get out there and play.Let's see if we can get our schedules on the same page so we can play.

 

Yeah the back tees definately helps you.I love playimg from them when the group plays from them.It depends on the handicap of the players I'm playing with were I play from.

 

I will definately be playing the back tees from now on anyway, because if you have a decent round, it rewards your handicap more than playing from the member tees.

 

Oh? You're supposed to hit mid-irons on approaches from the back tes? I was still hittin' driver / 3 wood...lol ;)

 

I try to play from the tips on every course I tee it up on. I've found that most courses open up from the back tees and I like hitting mid irons into a green instead of wedges all the time.

 

Yeah the purple ain't no joke if your not hitting it long. I had alot of misses with the driver leaving long shots in, but it was fun just playing from the tips.

 

The only days I can play next week will be Mon afternoon and Tues. We had talked about going to Summerset Tues. Next weekend I will be at the beach. Just let me know.

Ok. I did what you and Kendrick suggested. I bagged the driver and worked on my 7 iron up to 3 wood on the practice range today. I hit my 5 wood great so I did not even mess with it.

I found some technical problems with my follow thru. I tend to stand up before the club gets parallel to the target on a full release. Its probably why I either pull my middle and short irons left and my right with my longer irons, because I never give the face a chance to close.

I worked on tempo and staying down and thru the shot. I was compressing the ball much better and the ball was flying straighter with a litle bit of a left to right tail at the end.

 

Good round @ Lakeview, and leave me and my bubble alone. Let me float as long as I can on it before it pops. :)

 

I played well at Lakeview today. The R9 has been the best golf investment I've ever made. Missed 2 fairways... 1 because I drove it over the green!

 

Keep it in the fairway Josh. I made 3 birdies today at Willow Creek and hit 10 out of 18 greens (if you count par 3's) Had a little of everything on the card today. One or two holes was the difference in shooting in the 70's.

 

I'll be watching out for that card at Musgrove Mills. Hit'em good.

I think you will enjoy Pebble Creek. Overall, I would say it is in good shape. The greens, which are pure Bermuda now, are running a little fast with the lack of rain we have had. The traps need new sand and hard, but overall, a really decent course, great layout and a fun challenge too. Enjoy!

I'm loving the R9 Driver! This has been the most workable driver I've had to date.

Thanks man! I'm getting better... If I could play more I feel like I could score better. The Golf League at work starts this Tuesday so I'll definetly improve when I'm playing every week.

Nice score Josh. After things settle down from the holidays we need to get a group together and go play the Walker Course in Clemson.
