Putting saved the day on the back nine 47, after a slow 54 on the front. Acually 101 on this course is pretty good for the Wizard! The Golfnut arrives Wed. so the Iguanas are getting nervous!

In the battle of Good vs Evil, Good took an early lead an never looked back. The Wizard and Redsun made great team, and took turns helping each other to a good win!

 

Almost two weeks now with no golf, the Wizard will need extra strokes due to the amount of practing going on!

 

Out on Sick Leave, hope to play next week. Noticed a lot of practing going on out there!

Nice first round in MB today, windy so we felt right at home! All the guys played pretty well considering we had been up since 2 am!

 

Todays' round of golf should just be forgotten, absolutely no fun!

Warm and fuzzy T. rex? New evidence surprises

 

It was no easy task winning a $1.00 from the Wizard.It's like prying the fingers open on a corpse.Never the less,it was an enjoyable day as usual,wind and all.

 

Played well enough today in a head to head match against the Golfnut,
playing in a howling wind a 38 on the back nine, T-Rex could not over come 7 pars and 2 bogeys in the last nine holes. A good match followed by a pleasent dinner!

 

Ashamed?????Look who's talking.With the strokes you get,you should have a wanted poster hanging in the Post office.Looks like we are going to have to change the way strokes are given.Norm and I are getting really sore..If you know what I mean.

Well, I just received a voice mail from the Wizard, and as usual he wants to take advantage of Anthony S and my good nature.Imagine taking 2 strokes on a par 4 and par 5's, not to mention a stroke on every other hole. AND he wants to give me only 14 strokes, I THINK YOU BETTER GO BACK AND SHARPEN YOUR PENCIL I'm getting 16 strokes, yes that's right, Wizard. Another titanic struggle took place today at L.L. between Good and Evil!
Good prevailed in a closely contested match winning it on the 18th and final hole! The Wizard and his partner Redsun, fought off a determined effort by Goulfnut and Norm! Golf nut played his usual good game and Norm was putting lights out! However, a solid team effort and last hole heroics by Redsun saved the day! $$$$$$$$$

Same course today we will see what happens.

 

A very easy course just a very weak wedge game. We will see what happens tomorrow.

I disagree. My hdcp is compiled from years of play and is very stingy with the point calculations. After the first two rounds in MB I will be at least a 16 this year and you will be getting only 17 shots per round. True dat!!!

 

How many days until MB? What's that a 105 today? Boosting that hdcp to a beefy 33 still wont get you stroke a hole two on the par fives. 33 - 16 = 17.

My Arch Rival, Petrodriver fired an impressive 85 today at Country View Golf Club. It would appear he is ready dispite any layoff he has had over the last few months! Therefore a stroke a hole 2 on the par 5's appears to just right when the 2012 matches begin! I look forward the exciting matches this season, with many victories in my corner!

 

Playing in AM tomorrow. First round since September. Not expecting much. Just hope to be uninjured after 18.

The T-REX is not happy about the stroke situation in and around the Dino Group, these guys are hitting tee shots 150 yards ahead, and don't want to give additional strokes! The term Sandbaggers will have to be redefined concerning this group of severely challenged individuals!

Fall golf has not been kind to us so far! Frost delays, no carts on the fairways and lots of leaves to say the least! All and all not a bad day weather wise, nice an sunny.
Aways good to be out with old friends no matter the score!

 

The front nine was the T-Rexs problem today, getting off to a terrible start, settled down on the back, but all and all not a good day. Highlight was Redsuns Hole In One on the 17th!

 

Different course different day same result! Great course, Sakonnet Golf Club a private course hidden in Little Compton, was difficult to get on but worth it! Play it if you can find a member.

 

Nice fall morning out on the course today. Short frost delay, but not enough to spoil the day!

I may not be able to afford the steroids since I fell in the great GAP that medicare provides us old people. My co pay went $300 to $550 just for 2 of my meds. I shoould say thats for a 90 day supply.

 

Played the Hillside today with Normant, only got 4 strokes but still managed to win by one hole, in a tightly contested match Norm seemed determined to win, but faded on the last two holes to allow my victory!!!

 

Dino group played Widows Walk in Mass. today, and it was an eventful day. Course was very nice but very wet everywhere. Play for half price so it was good! Norm had to buy lunch, losing 1 down at #18, lots of fun playing a match against him!

 

Golfing in the afternoon is not for me, uless it gets dark at 8.30, just have to many things to do. I appreciate the invite and will miss the company of the Linkswizard , but at this time of the year, no thanks to a noon start.

 

T-Rex and the Dino group played another new course today, staying out on the New England tour is proving to be a lot of fun! Lunch was pretty good too! T-Rex played the same as always, some good shots, some not so good! Happy just to be out there playing!

T-Rex wasted 15 shots on two holes this week 8 on 13, 7 on 14! Not advantageous to good scoring! Too many bad shots. More shots appear to be in order!

I played a strange round of golf today. However, i did learn a few things. 1-Mulligans. I thought you were allowd to take a mull. if you chose, however i'm not sure how many are allowed, is it one for each nine, two....perhaps its one anytime you like , for example, hit a shot in the woods, hit another in the same place and then another, 3 mulligans and your laying 1. Now thats good and don't forget the " i didn't mean that shots" you can have as many as you wish, and the oops also count. I actually hit the LINKSWIZARDs driver today and wsa amazed at the distance it traveled. He was without his golf gps thingy today, but the best piece of equipment out there today was that little 3 inch pencil you get in the clubhouse, its a game changer.

 

play last night and im very disc ourage about my game thought i was ready to play again but i just could not swing properly guess ill haveto wait a little bit longer

 

P.S.
The only thing the Wizard needs is a cone shaped hat with stars on it and a wand....then he could be the Harry Potter of GOlf...hehe

 

The Wizard and i played many rounds of golf. He knows my game better than i. He brings modern technology with him and it helps me out, but even without that, he knows how to make me better and to be honest, he does. A great friend and if you want, caddie.

Looks like the T Rex and his prehistoric possie have been spending alot of time at Wentworth Hills. Perhaps a new track could lower those scores. I hear the Hawaiian Rumble and Prehistoric PuttPutt ate in terrific shape this year.

 

Same old story, too many missed shots. Need to did something just don't know what!

LINKSWIAED was hitting good tee shots once again, he gets in trouble with his second and thirds, my recommendation is that he go out to his back yard and practic, practice practice those shots, and change his putter. I'll bet he can knock off at least 6 shots per round.......I'ncest par!!!!!!!!

 

Three 7's and two 8"s equals 37 shots over five holes. Must have lost 7 brand new balls. Can't keep then long enough to have old ones in the bag!

 

The Wizard wsa hitting the best tee shots that i've seen all year, if he can shake those few bad shots, he could be a member of the sand bag club.........incest par...whatever that is !!!!!!!!

 

Nice day out on the course today!
Not too hot not too cold, just right! Actually saw more good scores than bad ones! A very good sign! Only thing that would have made it better was having Petrodriver with us!

Posted a 102 at Wentworth Hills, came in third but was a better round except for a few 7's. Too many mental mistakes, just need to play better.

 

Will try and beat 108 this week!

Had a cecent round today, was with the wizard and that GPS golf thingy he has helped me a lot. My birthday is coming soon maybe the Wizard will buy me one as a birthday present. Nes Par.....whatever that is.......

Played fairly well here on the Cape, first time on the course maded it a bit harder, GPS and Laser proved helpful in keeping the score down. Used the Bobby Jones a lot, seem to go straighter than all the other clubs

 

The T Rex's continued retirement tour and busy multiple weekly rounds have his game in tip top condition. Keeping the ball down the middle and reaching some greens in regulation, paring several holes per round. Lookin good T Rex, lookin good! Less strokes should be on the way soon.

 

Todays score was low for me, considering i was playing from the girlie tees, got the driver working ok now i need to work on the irons. Can 80's be far away???

 

Played Leicester Country Club today, a beautiful late Spring day with lots of warm Sunshine. Dino group played well and lunch was good! Looking forward to our next round!

Seems todays round at Laurel Lane has pushed my hcp to 15. This means 33 - 15= 18 No more 2 on the par 5's. 18 strokes one per hole.

 

Played in Maine yesterday cart paths only, rainy and cold. Not a Good Day!!!

Played Pine Ridge today, nice course but the weather was wicked, cold and damp conditions were the order of the day! Cold appeared to really bother the Dino group today, with poor shots and sloppy play, scores higher than normal!

 

Played White Pines today with the Dino group, course was very wet and played harder than it was. Cross off another course played. A mediocore round at best!

 

Have returned from Myrtle Beach was a wonderful vacation! A good time was had by all! Petrodriver brought the golf courses to their knees, with long drives and crisp iron shots, a little bit better putting and he would have broken 80 everyday!!!

 

Played nine holes with Richard Mancini last week. He played my ball on the fifth hole so I had to DQ him. Roland and Richard M. will have to be paired up to see who gets the most DQ's. Good to see Link Wizard back in town.

Playing in seriously poor conditions scores did not really matter, just having a few laughs and a good lunch was good enough!

 

Need only two words to discribe todays round! NOT GOOD!

 

Too many high numbers and a Hot Petrodriver kept the pressure on my driving which is my weak point anyway! Six 7's and an 8 was just too many high numbers against Petro. Insult to injury I have to regrip his sticks!

 

Played just good enough today , was able to help my partner out on a couple of holes! Rene played a steady game and shot 89 first time on the course! Wll Done!

 

LinksWizard carried me through with his array of good food and advice. Norman hit my ball so he should be DQ'd like Roland two weeks ago. My putting Sucks!!!

 

Looks like Redsun is not a very good fortune teller. Played like a one armed paper hanger in a blizzard today. Tee shots were pitiful and the rest of the game was not much better. Was able to help out my partner on a few holes to win the match. Lucky I guess?

 

LINKSWIZARD is hitting the ball longer and strighter lately, looks like he's getting ready to pop a good round soon, hope he's my partner

 

Too many 7's and 8's pushed score to my high limit, however, a severe tuck and roll on the 3rd hole put me as Petrodriver said "out of sorts". No excuses just sucked today!

I am too weak to discuss strokes after my surgery. I will need a few rounds of even play before I know the extent of the damage which has been done to my game. I will gladly play even for three rounds so I can see how much the SNOWREX improved his game as he returns from FLA to start the season in tip top shape. Beating the local snowbirds and relatives on a regular basis calls for decreased strokes

 

Played a couple of rounds at the Villages on my way home played Ok, scores not great but knee seems to be getting better with each round. Looking forward to my first match with Petrodriver, he's recovering for back surgery and will be better than ever!!

 

Playing fairly well here in Key West, just not the same withmout Petrodriver. Can't seem to get motivated here without him. Knee after operation appears to be holding up well. with a stroke a hole two on the par fives I think I can be competitive,

This Tuesday Offically ends the 2010 golf season for me. Will be having surgery of the right knee to repair torn manisus inside and out. Hope to have a speedy recovery.

 

Have returned home from Key West, great vacation, but my golf lacked its usual spirit with the match-up not as much fun with my arch rival Petrodriver not there, looking forward to our next match for the cup!

Played with the Dino group today at Norwood CC in MA. Don't think I've ever played a flatter course no hills or valleys at all! Only one to break 100, so I guess I did OK, Crossed off another course that we played.

 

Played Melody on Wed. with Petrodriver, I was able to pullout a win in a close contest. Petro played consistent bur failed to make his usual # of Pars and Biridies. Handicap appears to be correct, T-Rex could use a few extra storkes to help off=set his leg injuries!

Nice round today with the dino trio. I had time to nap between tee shots and aproach shots while T - Rex and his clan surveyed the course. Was a relaxing and fun day in the indian summer sun.

 

By the time I get these trucks rolling I'm not going to be able to afford a pull cart!!!!!

 

Just remember Wizard two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left. Why is it when we play your scores are so magnificently low but when your with the fossil foursome you shoot 109's? HMMMMMMMM!!!

The Wizard was superb today with a sharp 96.However I shot the best round of my 2010 season. Unfortunatly I am sure I will hear about it until 2011.

 

Good thing we got rained out today after nine. I could feel a monumental comeback aproaching on the back nine.

 

Handicap just went up 14.3 to 14.5, less strokes are in order.

 

The O.T.D. tour visited Pinecrest today. Linkswizard has posted a questionable 108. I do believe there may have been some paddin o' the scorecard in that round to maintain handicap numbers. Par 70 and a 123 slope rating? Are you sure you OTD Pros didnt play the Tips?

 

Played the Wizard today. He woke up late, showed up limping on his new magic leg and still had me beat by the 16th hole. To top off the day his handicap just went up a point, NICE JOB!!!

Linkswizard is back in form and playing his A game. He had the match won on the 16th today and showed no mercy. TOO MANY STROKES!!!

 

Ahhhh 11 strokes 5 on the front 6 on the back. Thats more like it. Strokes don't make you better they make you even. Hmmmm have I heard that somewhere before?
