Thats hilarious. Although, he should be tired, its gotta be pretty boring just hitting Fairways and Greens all day like he did.

That's what I was thinking too, lol of course I did say I didn't care what my score card looked like after the first hole, lol! Great round today, will have to do it again. Ill get him on after his nap, lol

What a day. In league play at Aeropines Hornet Course was playing like a man possessed. 12 Pars, 1 birdie, to lead to a 78. Shot my load, and reloaded on Hornet only to fizzle out, but did come up with a few great shots to include a 6 inch birdie putt on the Par 3 # 6 that damn near went in. All in all 36 is tough.

 

Played Sleepy HOLE with Shaun, Rob and Tracy. Probably the last time I will play there. For such a nice layout, no one EVER repairs their ball marks. Had two putts hit craters in the earth. In addition, too long a drive to be playing a 5 hour round. Rain and lightning halted our play, so bogey golf for 16-18 holes.

 

What a beautiful course. Me, Dad, Uncle Kevin and Cuzn Marc played at Stonelick Hills. One of the BEST courses I have ever played on, no military discount whatsoever but the course could cost more if they pursued it. 1 Birdie and 6 penalty shots. Those damn things killed me.

 

Onward to StoneLick Hills Golf club tomorrow. Same foursome and no drinking tonight. Tee time 0730.

 

And then came Fox Run, hung over and the course kicked my behind. Had a chip in birdie. Course was ridiculous hard on me. Note: Never drink prior to playing a KY hilly course for the first time.

 

Played Devou on Friday and the Driver was on fire. Needless to say the course was short and I flew over most of the trouble but 12 pars and 5 bogies and a double. I had never shot in the 80s at that course and still havent.

 

You are still the man. Birdie, par, birdie to start off the back nine. The sand did suck though. You were just coming off balance and out of your shoes on some shots.......way to push through after that start........

 

Played back to back days. My rematch with Raptor course with Shaun where I shot 86 and finally tried out Battlefield Golf Course where I shot an 85.

 

Great Round with Shaun and Nick, and also league play 82 on Hornet course to include the Eagle on Saturday makes my week of golf seem like the game is improving. Now, a lesson in short game.

 

EAGLE #6 for me today. Drove a Par 4 300 yards to about 6 feet and sank it for the large taloned animal. HELL YEAH!!

Have played Cypress Point on 23Mar12, yet to input my 99. What the....irons are just off. Played with Shaun, here and at Nanesmond River the week before. Shauns game is progressing well, well enough that he beat me at Cypress. Well done buddy. Its gonna be a good year.

Last two plays were at the Signature at Westneck. Very impressed with the course and will definitely go back.

Played Tomcat Friday, great day to play. SHot in the 80's, so i was pleased. Driver wasnt bad but could have been better. Chipping was better than average and I almost greened the 17th Par 5 in two and only came up with par.

 

Damn boy you just can't leave them Nike clubs alone can you? HAHAHA!!! How do you like them? I'm still trying to swing that North Carolina trip we will see???

 

I am so looking forward to going to North Carolina with my brother to play The Carolina Trail in March

 

Happy New Year! I played Hornet today at Aeropines and played ok. Cold and wet but at least I broke in the New year with golf, gotta love it.

 

Played in crazy ass weather today at Aeropines (Hornet) course. Shot a 46 and 41 in crap conditions but I am happy with the round. I played with Eric and Bryan. Eric won the card game and Bryan had the shot of the day. A whopping 25ft putt off the fringe for par.

 

Played Sewells Point from the blues with Josh Broome. Stayed with him until the last half of the back nine and fell apart. Shot 44 on the front and then 51 on the back....pathetic. Went double par, triple, double to end the back nine. Could have finished stronger...it is what it is.

 

I played Hornet today, windy, windy windy weather. I jumped back to the blue tees to see how I would play from those tees. I was impressed to keep it at 91. I missed three putts for birdie from inside 7 feet. And numerous par putts to get lower but no avail.

 

Played The Hamptons with Long today. Shot a 46 on the front(The Woods) and a 44 on the back (The Lakes). With a quad on the card on the The Lakes course. I rallied back with a birdie, two pars and three bogies to finish strong on the Lakes with a firm 44. Long played better than I have ever seen him play with a remarkable three pars on the day. You are making great strides buddy. Hit the ranges till we play again bro.

 

Played with Long again at Bide a wee in Ptown. Started decent and just didn't hit greens when I should have been. And my putting was horrible. But who's bitchin when i am playing a decent round of golf in Hampton Roads on the 30th of December huh? I shot a 93 with 5 pars, no birds and too many doubles and up on the card. Better luck next year.

 

Played with Long today at Herons Ridge. I shot an 84 from the white and had 2 birds and 5 pars. Bryan recorded his very first birdie as well.

 

Played with Cooper on Saturday at Hells POint. DISASTER, conditions were wet and muddy and tight. First time playing there. I need redemption.

 

Played two rounds with Josh Broome shot a 86 at Honeybee Wednesday and 89 at Cahoon Plantation today. Cahoon is beautiful and look forward to playing again.

 

Played with Ryan and Mike today. Great course, a little wet but started with a birdie and ended with a par. Shot a 92, fairly happy with that considering. Looking forward to playing that course again in good conditions.

 

Played Tomcat this morning with Horne, Cooper and JB. Shot 42 and 43 for an 85. Last played a month earlier, amazingly still had it, trouble putting but had a decent round. First round with Horne, he shot an 89. Cooper and JB struggled a bit but was a decent day overall. Might have been my last round of the season. Took my handicap from a 22 down to 14.6 in one years time. Gotta liek that.

 

Played with Nate this morning at Stumpy Lake. My opinion has changed for that course but the greens were in rough shape after a busy season and it was awfully wet out there from the rain. I struck the ball very well but had a few problem holes with the doglegs on the course. Will play it again though.

 

Played with Eric Ebbole today. Shot a 91 and couldnt hit my driver worth a damn. Put me in the woods and I could create a shot and hit it, but set it on a tee and nothing. Putting was tough as well. Not very happy with the round at all.

 

Played Aston Oaks when in town with three buddies. First 18 from the gold, and the second from blue. BEAUTIFUL COURSE. Challenging holes and looong distances to drive between holes but very nice for the price.

 

Played Red Wing Lake Golf COurse today for the first time from the whites of course. Pulled out the driver on each hole but the 3's of course. Loved the course 3 birds, 4 pars and a couple of Double bogeys on the Par 5's but managed an impressive for me, 82. Played solo and had a quiet smooth good pace round right before the Hannah storms rain came in. I will definitely go back to Red Wing.

 

Played totally on my own today at Sewells Point. Had some hiccups midway thru the first nine and the par 3's really messed me up which got me off my game. Although, i picked it up on the back 9 and shot a 40 for an 86. Too many strokes left out there, especially putting. I didn't feel any putts all day.

 

Played on my own and was matched up with two guys from Japan and a Captain in the Navy. Had a great time but struggled on a couple of holes at Sewells Point. 89, at least i was in the eighties.

 

Played with JB, Bryan came down from PA and we played Tomcat. Finally shot in the 80's on Tomcat for the first time from the whites. I believe the in the next two years I will begin playing a tee box back to see how well my iron play will be. Anyways, I shot an 86, 40 on the front and a 46 on the back. I was hitting them well on the front but somehow got cut in a rut. I still managed 86 but i know i could have been better.

 

What a day! 12 Pars 4 bogies 1 double bogey and a birdie. I was on fire today. I played with JB, Trim and Chick. Unbelievable day for me the best of my life.

 

Played Honeybee this am with Orson and Bryan. Shot an 88. Couldn't putt worth a damn but all together I was happy off the tee boxes and especially pleased with how many greens I was able to hit today. Putting.....damn putting.

 

Played Oceanview on Fathers day with Brian Long. Had one birdie and seven pars. Played black tees, will probably play back tees on that course from here on out. Shot 42, 43 for an 85. Pretty happy with my short game and high iron play.

 

Played with Eric, Orson and Brian. Play was soooo slow on Tomcat today that we dashed for Hornet for the second nine. I shot a 52 on Tomcat and bounced back with 5 pars on the front nine of Hornet to score a 41.

 

I played the Hamptons with Eric and Brian. I shot 8 over par on the Lakes and 8 over on the Links. Back to back rounds under 90 which surprises me, although, the par 4's could be a bit longer for the course I played today. But overall I am happy with my progress. I am getting off the tee well, but today, my approaches were off mark. My chipping was decent as well as my putting. Overall, for me a B-.

 

CHipping was better today and played with Eric and Cooper at Little Creek Golf Course. I was very happy with the way I played today. Tomorrow I will be playing The Hamptons again with Eric, JB and Brian.

 

I love this site. Today I played with Dee, Craig and Brian Long. Brian's 3rd time ever and we went to The Hampton's. I was impressed besides the tee boxes. Drove like a champ but could not score around the greens.

 

Working around the green is keeping me from getting to the 80's!
