 jyaz24 says:Thanks JR. Wicomico was fun, sorry you couldn't make it. As far as strokes go, I golfed on Friday, 60 degrees and a gentle 2-3mph wind. You golfed the following Monday in 35 degree weather with 20mph damp, cold winds. No strokes for you! 2/19/13

Alusna says:Jeff, Our bermuda is all dormant, which is a lot like hardpan for us. But the areas around our greens is all clumpy and full of holes. Worst is the cold and wind. But it is still great to be out golfing! 2/15/13
 JKINZEL says:I don't know why they let the courses go to shit out here during the winter months. I can't hardpan chip at all. I can;t seem to putt for shit anymore either. Fairmount supposed to reopen in April or May. 2/13/13
JKINZEL says:$$$$ They closed Fairmount Park where i could play 18 for $9 or 9 for $6. I been having problems booking tee times thru Golf Now.com where i could find some bargains. I won't pay much more than 20 bucks to play. Van Buren is close to home and cheap, and not busy in the am when i get off work. And i enjoy playing Executive courses. 2/13/13
jyaz24 says:Myrtle Beach was indeed fun and the weather was perfect, sunny and 70-75 degrees. Courses were difficult but my only complaint would be the greens, very inconsistent. We had a ocean front hotel room, it was $33 dollars a night per person and yes, breakfast was included. The courses in Myrtle are throwing in a beer and lunch in their greens fees to get people golfing. JR forgot to mention that he got second place in a Stableford scoring tournament! 1/16/13
Alusna says:Myrtle was lots of fun, even though I had a lingering illness from Christmas. Weather was perfect, 75 degrees and suny all the time. The economy means all the courses are eager to get you playing and will give a way a lot of stuff. I think we spent $49 a day for room and golf and breakfast and lunch with a couple of drink tickets. Courses were great, but hard, as our scores will show. Yaz, weigh in here! 1/14/13

And it really doesn't matter how many attend for me, in fact some of the best times I've had at our outings were when we were short handed. 12/7/12
ctvorse says:Hey Ghost - I know how you feel. I went through a stretch this summer where breaking 110 was a chore, I finally broke 90 again in October. Very wet in Oregon - we are going to Arizona in December - I hope to play a few rounds while there. 12/5/12

ctvorse says:I got to play 36 holes of golf this weekend. Today was the best November day I can remember - Sunny & 72 in Oregon in November. Crazy. Had my best 9 hole score at my club to save my round. 11/4/12

ctvorse says:august & september were heavy work months, bringing a huge high school project online and helping Claudia get her new business started - I just posted 2 of my best scores of the year and we are leaving for Playa del Carmen Mexico tomorrow. I am hoping to play 3 or 4 rounds down there 10/10/12

jyaz24 says:thanks JR. Not in the blitz but right after....played with Jeff C. and a two others who had a group of 12. Putt everything out, double par max.....shot well and somehow still lost $5, oh well. 8/15/12
