Golf Club of Amelia Island

This resort course apparently does allow some public play, although advance booking is recommended. The course itself was designed by former PGA Tour players Mark McCumber and Gene Littler.

Immaculate course, way pricey but for those who are rich enough to be able to afford the chance to play here, it is well kept. A couple of the greens could have been in better shape, but the fairways were easy to hit out of, and the entire course was a treat for the eyes. The carts have GPS machines that show you your position in reference to the pin, green, and other landmarks on each hole. Really nice and you can see where the money goes. Faculty is nice, pro shop is well stocked. if you got the dough, go here. $90 for 9, $130 for 18...
